Character Education
At St Joseph’s we place great importance on developing Character Education and virtues to enable our pupils to flourish holistically and be a good person and member of wider society.
We follow the DfE Character Education Framework Guidance and we are also active members of the Association of Character Education. We use our four school virtues and Virtues to Live By to embed the importance of living by virtues as a way of developing personal morals, values and being a the best we can be. We embed our teaching of Character Education and virtues across all curriculum subjects and linked specific English texts to the virtues across all year groups.
