We had such an amazing time at sports day. The weather was glorious and we all got into our house colors to take part in a range of fun activities. We loved the tug of war in particular and can't wait to do it all again next year. Click the picture below to look through some of the photos.
The Good Shepherd Walk

Year 5 Advent Collective Worship
Welcome to Year 5!
At the end of the first half term, we went on an amazing residential RE trip. We took part in lots of fun activities and all had such an excellent time. We shared what we did with the rest of the school and our parents in an end of term assembly.
In class 5, we have been learning about space. So far we have looked at planets, the stars, the sun and much more. We found lots of facts out such as the distances between the planets and even looked at a show called Stargazing. When we have finished with our research we will create the next episodes for Stargazing. We are not just learning about this in Science, we are also reading books about space and our English work is linked to a book called 'Cosmic'. I think that this will be a fun topic to learn about.

Our Class Saints
This term so far, we have learnt a lot about our class saints, The Fatima Children. We found out all about them and made information leaflets, sun spinners and painted pictures. It has been really fun.

This is my second year working at St Joseph's and once again I have the pleasure of teaching Year 5, alongside Mrs Perry.
I live in Menston with my husband, two daughters and new puppy Max. I enjoy reading, listening to music and running.
I know that we are going to have a fantastic time together exploring diffferent topics and experiencing new challenges.
I'm Mrs Perry and this is my fourth year here at St Joseph's.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family including my dog Hugo and new puppy Murphy. I also love running, cycling and walking.
I think that I have the best job because every day is different, exciting and filled with fun when working with children.
I am very excited to be back in KS2 this year and look forward to teaching year 5 on a Thursday and Friday.
