Ascension Liturgy - Thursday 10th May 2018
On Thursday 10th May, Year 4 led the Ascension Liturgy. This is an important time in the church year as it is when Jesus departed from Earth into the presence of God. This was forty days after the Resurrection. In the gospel reading, Jesus told his disciples to go and show everyone that they believe in him and to tell the Good News to everybody in the world. Our mission is to now act as the disciples and spread the good news that Jesus is the Son of God and he wants us all to love one another as he loved us. We sang the hymn 'Do not be afraid' at the end of the liturgy which is one of our favorite hymns.
Real PE
We have been learning about different ways of moving in our PE lessons. We have created our own balances and then demonstrated them to the rest of the class.

Year 4 Advent Liturgy (Week 3)

On Monday Year 4 led the whole school in the Liturgy for the 3rd week in Advent. The  third Sunday of Advent is traditionally called Gaudete SundayGaudete is the Latin word meaning “rejoice.” This Sunday is a joyful reminder that our salvation is near. We light the 3rd candle in our Advent wreath, which is called the Shepherds candle. It represents joy and is pink.

Year 4 class assembly!

Our class assembly explored the theme 'The Bible'. We explored what the bible means to use through pictures. We picked our favourite stories to share, Jonah and the Whale and Moses and the burning bush. We ended with prayers that we had written ourselves...
