Stitching friendships together 🧵🧸

Year 6 enjoyed five wonderful Fridays designing and creating waistcoats for their teddies, supported by generous volunteers from our parish. Some children were also lucky enough to welcome their grandparents into school to help!

Turning their designs into finished garments took concentration, patience and perseverance. Our guests shared their skills and encouragement, helping the children experience the satisfaction of making something themselves.

As the stitches grew, so did the friendships. Conversations, laughter and time spent working together made these afternoons special for both generations.

The project finished with a fabulous fashion show, giving our beautifully dressed teddies their moment to shine!

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers and grandparents for sharing their time, talents and kindness. 💜💛
