Preparing Our Hearts for Jesus in Advent

During Advent, we welcomed Fr Ben into school so that children who were able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation could do so as part of their preparation for Christmas.

Our preparation in school helped children reflect prayerfully on their choices, recognise where they needed forgiveness and consider how they could show greater love. Quiet reflection offered time to prepare for this personal encounter with God’s mercy.

Through Reconciliation, we receive forgiveness for our sins and grace to begin again. It is a hopeful celebration of returning to God, who welcomes us with love.
