A Special Welcome Blessing for Reception

Our Reception children joined their Year 6 buddies for a special Welcome Blessing with Fr Ben. Together, we thanked God for new friendships and prayed for a happy year of learning, growing and belonging at St Joseph’s.

Fr Ben blessed the children as they began this journey together. Reception have someone to look up to, while Year 6 have the privilege of guiding and encouraging their younger buddies with kindness and care.

This friendship reflects Catholic Social Teaching: every child has dignity and deserves to feel welcomed, valued and included. Our Year 6 pupils are putting our school virtue of service into practice by helping their buddies feel at home.

Thank you to Fr Ben for the warmth and thoughtfulness he brings to our school’s prayer life. 💜💛
