All applications are made through North Yorkshire County Council by completing a common application form (CAF) which can be completed online. For more information and access to the online application process please go to:

Joining in year
You may you wish for your child(ren) to join the school during the school year or outside the normal Reception application timetable. Please call the school to check if we have any spaces in the years that you need.
An in-year application can be made at any time of the year as there is no closing date. Your application will be processed no more than half a term (six weeks) in advance of when a place is required. A school place will normally be allocated from the start of the next half term.

Before and After School
School aged children whose parents are working, training or studying need safe care before and after school hours. Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation Active club, based on school premises, meets this need and provide a range of enjoyable activities for children aged between 4 to 11 years.
Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation is run by a local organisation. The Active club runs from 7.50am until school starts and from school finish until 5pm. (If booked in advance this can be extended to 5.30pm) Small teams of dedicated staff are responsible for the day to day care of your children.
Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation are really excited to start our Active Club at St Josephs Catholic Primary School. The aim and objective of the clubs is to give children the opportunity to engage in physical, creative and expressive activities before and after school.
All the activities will be delivered and led by qualified and DBS approved members of staff who will ensure the environment is inclusive, safe and super fun for all involved.
We can’t wait to deliver a wide range of activities for the children to explore and learn new skills.

Bookings must be made before 6pm the day before the session you want to book on. Cancellations must be made two working days before the session, late cancellations are non-refundable. Cancelled bookings are transferrable to other dates subject to availability. Capacity 30 pupils per session
